R4 Group Condemns Houthi Attacks on Riyadh Airport, Reaffirms Full Solidarity with Saudi Arabia

The Quadripartite Group (R4)—comprising the Arab Republic of Egypt, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, and the Republic of Türkiye—issued a joint statement strongly condemning the ongoing hostile attacks launched by the Houthi militia against Saudi Arabia, most notably the heinous assault targeting King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh.
The Group emphasized that these attacks resulted in civilian fatalities and injuries, alongside structural damage to civilian infrastructure, constituting a flagrant violation of international law and international humanitarian law.
Direct Violation of Sovereignty and Unjustifiable Escalation
In its statement, the R4 Group stressed that these strikes represent a grave violation of Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. Furthermore, the alliance characterized the strikes as a direct threat to regional stability and civilian safety, describing them as a dangerous escalation that cannot be justified or accepted under any pretext.
Unwavering Support for Saudi Security Measures
Reaffirming absolute solidarity with the Kingdom, the member states declared full support for all legitimate steps and measures taken by Saudi Arabia to counter these hostile actions, deter threat sources, and prevent their recurrence.
The statement noted that such defensive measures align with the Charter of the United Nations and international law, aiming to safeguard the Kingdom’s security, sovereignty, and the safety of all citizens and residents.
Call for Immediate and Unconditional Halt
Concluding the joint statement, the R4 Group held the Houthi militia fully accountable for these attacks and their broader repercussions on regional and international peace. Consequently, the group demanded an immediate and unconditional cessation of all hostile strikes.
